- Finished the Left Hand Elevator
I
didn't take many photos today; sorry about that; however the whole
process of rolling the leading edge went much easier this time and
I was very pleased with the results. Nice close fit for the
overlap and the clecos just popped in. Then just blind
riveted it all up.
Then it was time to rivet on the other half of the
hinge to fit the trim tab on. Unfortunately I put a small dent in
the elevator just where the pop rivets are on the left of the
picture. I was trying to use solid rivets instead of the
specified pop rivets. I wish I had not tried...oh well a bit
of filler it will be :-(
